A promise in a loan agreement that the borrower must keep for the life of the loan.
Usage: Financial or E&S covenants: التعهدات المالية / البيئية والاجتماعية.

Why a lender reads this
A loan agreement turns these words into dates and money. When one is misread, a drawdown slips or a disbursement stops at a condition nobody planned for. A lender reads each as an obligation with a document behind it.
